When federal inspectors got a glimpse of Nala at the G.W. Zoo in Oklahoma, they were so horrified that they halted their inspection to order ‘Tiger King’ villain Jeff Lowe to provide her with urgent veterinary care. Before Nala’s rescue, her ears were eaten away by flies, she was severely underweight, she had multiple bone fractures due to a severe vitamin deficiency, and she couldn’t take more than a few steps without falling over. But thanks to PETA’s courtroom wins, Nala is thriving at The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado, where she now wrestles, cuddles, and explores the vast habitat she shares with her pride of fellow PETA-rescued felines.
