Animal Place welcomed Theo after he saved himself from becoming “holiday veal” by breaking into a neighbor’s yard in an urban area. The neighbor called animal control, which confiscated the little calf. Theo had been purchased from a dairy farm that discards male dairy calves by selling them at auction or to backyard slaughterers.

In this video, Theo in moved from our isolation barn to his new stall and pasture. He has a little trouble following instructions, so his favorite lure – his bottle – had to be brought out to lead him to the right spot. We love Theo!
