In October 2020, a truck hauling more than 100 pigs to slaughter at Smithfield Foods was involved in an accident in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. PETA has documented pigs’ pain and suffering at more than a dozen crashes involving trucks bound for just this one slaughterhouse.
