Pony Forced to Give Rides With Painful Overgrown Hooves at Kelly Miller Circus

A visitor spotted this agitated pony, Miley, saddled up and chained to a hot walker at the Kelly Miller Circus in Clinton, Indiana. Her hooves were extremely overgrown, and authorities determined that she had “founder,” a very painful condition in which inflammation of the tissue causes the bone to separate from the hoof and begins to rotate and sink into the sole of the hoof. Miley was finally removed from pony rides after PETA stepped in and contacted authorities.
