Hanover Zoo Tortures Baby Elephants

Hanover Zoo regularly presents Asian elephants in circus-like shows to attract visitors. Even baby elephants are regularly taken to a separate facility next to their enclosure where trainers torture them repeatedly with bull hooks – sticks with sharp metal hooks at the end – hidden from visitors’ eyes. Whenever the animal children don’t perform circus tricks like sitting, turning or standing on their hind legs as the zookeepers want them to, the bull hook is smashed into their sensitive skin.

Please don’t visit zoos or animal parks.
