SOSTIENI ACCEDI

Goodbye Susie Girl

March 24th marked what was to be one of the saddest days for all of us at Edgar’s Mission. Dear sweet Susie Cow passed away. She had not been ill, in fact the last time she was seen she was laying peacefully next to her dear friend Shirley Calf. The two had not long finished munching on their dinner after a regular day of grazing, exploring their paddock and resting under the trees.

Susie will be buried in the orchard she loved to graze and play in with her buddy Shirley.

To all those who share our sorrow, grieve not because she is gone, rejoice because she came into our lives and we are all the richer for this.

Susie was brought to Edgar’s Mission on the 8th of May 2007 and while today her physical form has departed, her spirit and resolve will remain with us forever. “All I have to do is close my eyes and I can vividly see her serenely happy face looking at me, I will long remember her amicable disposition and loving licks with that big black tongue and oh those beautiful big brown pop eyes that melted so many hearts surrounded by the longest of eyelashes that made her such a beauty.” said Pam Ahern, founder and Director of Edgar’s Mission.

Susie’s life began with a difficult birth that was to leave a legacy of cerebral palsy. Walking with a bit of a stagger and standing with a bit of a shake is all Susie knew. She will be remembered for her beautiful nature and her contagious love of life, and will be sadly missed by all those who were lucky enough to meet her.

Vale Susie, sleep peacefully dear girl.
