Fish Farms – Undercover Investigation

[EN] Usually, the fish arrive from hatcheries while still in eggs. They are born in small pools, and as they grow, they are periodically separated based on their feed consumption and growth rate. To sort them, a pipe is inserted into the pool where they live, and they are separated using a sorting machine. This way, fish of the same size and consumption rate live together and grow at the same pace. When they reach the exploitators desired size, they are electrocuted. Many of them survive the electrocution and do not die until much later, when they are placed in ice boxes or gutted.

[ES] Habitualmente los peces llegan cuando todavía están en huevas desde los criaderos. Nacen las pequeñas piscinas y a medida que van creciendo, son separados según su consumo de pienso y velocidad de crecimiento cada poco tiempo.
