Dorothy, a Mother Tortured at the Washington National Primate Research Center

Dorothy was a rhesus macaque who spent all her life in laboratories. After being used for two decades as a breeding machine, she was sold to the University of Washington’s Washington National Primate Research Center (WaNPRC), where both psychological and physical torment awaited her. This is her story.

Help monkeys like Dorothy. Join PETA in urging the University of Washington to close down the WaNPRC and transfer the animals to reputable sanctuaries, where they can get the proper rest and care that they’ve so long been denied: support.peta.org/page/21869/action/1?locale=en-US.
