Last week our crew on The MV Sam Simon got to witness the horrible sight of a French fishing vessel pulling in their nets with a recently drowned dolphin.

While rarely caught on camera, this happens all too often – so much so that scientists estimate that 10.000 dolphins are drowned in fishing nets every single year off the coast of France!
