Behind the Scenes: Follow Our Media Crew on a Typical Patrol

Sea Shepherd’s patrols in France’s Bay of Biscay have revealed the ugly truth about how dolphins die in fishing nets by the thousands every year. This video takes you behind the scenes to show how the Sam Simon’s crew — from the Captain and Bosun to the Deckhands and Small Boat Drivers — work together to get our media team on the frontlines night after night. Long hours are spent braving the cold, the wind, the dangerous swells — and often the fishermen’s aggression — to capture the images of what the fishing industry prefers to keep secret. These images are now seen around the world, and are an essential tool in our Dolphin Bycatch Campaign to force the French government to finally take action.
