A veterinarian reviewed video footage from a July 24, 2014, UniverSoul Circus performance and concluded that the elephant seen has severely limited motion in her rear limbs that is indicative of serious arthritic and degenerative joint disease.

PETA has sent an urgent letter asking the USDA to investigate the circus and to ensure that no injured or lame animal is forced to perform.
